I really took my time before making this buying decision. I had just got the Focal Elex audiophile headphones and I knew I wanted a gaming headset that wasn't going to be such a dramatic drop in quality to listen to. I also wanted something with a great mic for use on work calls. This truly exceeded my expectations on all counts. The mic is, as one colleague remarked, "podcast ready". Voice comes through crisp and with just a hint of added bass. The noise cancellation also works really well. In game, sound is truly directional and the THX Spatial audio is a blast when listening out for opponent's footsteps. Sound quality is decent for other uses too and I sometimes leave them in to listen to music or movies. After getting the RTX 3070, I was ready to make the step up to a high refresh rate monitor. While looking at the typical LG options, I came across this one. At 165Hz, it had a higher refresh rate than they LGs but the panel itself, was made by LG. I also like how the monitor had a more toned down aesthetic than the usual 'gaming monitor' vibe.
